Shaheen’s Energy policy takes a hit from ‘Down Under.’

Jeanne Shaheen assumes that Anthropogenic Global Warming (AGW) is a real problem that her policies will help us navigate.  I have blogged at length about them (her policies), but it’s hard to beat commentary like this.

Dr. David Evans is a man responsible for writing the carbon accounting models for Austraila’s Kyoto compliance reporting, but after years of research he’s discovered something truly alarming about Global Warming; the science is not only ‘not settled,’ but that it is wrong.  In This article in The Australian he reports his observations.  And no Jeanne he’s not a shill for big oil.

There is no evidence to support the idea that carbon emissions cause significant global warming. None. There is plenty of evidence that global warming has occurred, and theory suggests that carbon emissions should raise temperatures (though by how much is hotly disputed) but there are no observations by anyone that implicate carbon emissions as a significant cause of the recent global warming.

Read the whole thing.

So is Jeanne prepared to look at the data?

Obama’s Magic Cash Cow.

Seems Obama has been receiving significant numbers ofcampaign contributions from overseas. Here is a link I found while browsing, with some interesting details and some important questions.

Like why would one person give 112 separate donations to Obama, 34 of them on the same day?  (I get my share of requests for campaign donations by 34 in one day?)

Or how about hundreds of small cash donations over several months from a single contributor who is always listed as unemployed?

Check it out for yourself.

Hodes teaches us the ‘New Math.’

In the Saturday Union Leader John DiStaso has an article in which NH-02 Rep Paul Hodes pins the “tax cuts for the rich”canard on John McCain, and declares his economic policies as detrimental to the middle class.  You see McCain has this goofy notion that the people who earn the money know best how to invest it in the economy. Hodes has other ideas. (previously discussed here,)

Hodes counter’s McCain with an Obama plan that would put $1,000.00 dollars in the pockets of those making up to $250,000.00 per year while “asking more” of those who with higher incomes.  Hodes completely ignores the fact that Obama’s economic plan will extract around 5 trillion dollars back out of the economy in the process.  And guess where that money will come from?

That’s right, the middle class.
